The mainstream media – most notably the three broadcast networks – helped get Barack Obama elected president in 2008 in part by promoting his liberal, anti-free market economic policies on issues ranging from the environment to federal spending, taxes to health care.

In “America 2012,” the Business & Media Institute analyzed the media’s coverage of major economic policies Obama proposed during his campaign, and how the media supported them. And because journalists failed to examine the effect Obama’s policies would have on the U.S. economy, BMI advisors offered their own predictions.
