What President Obama’s first
term could do to energy, health care and your wallet –
and how the media have promoted his policies.
The mainstream media – most
notably the three broadcast networks – helped get Barack Obama
elected president in 2008 in part by promoting his liberal,
anti-free market economic policies on issues ranging from the
environment to federal spending, taxes to health care.
In “America 2012,” the Business & Media Institute analyzed the
media’s coverage of major economic policies Obama proposed during
his campaign, and how the media supported them. And because
journalists failed to examine the effect Obama’s policies would have
on the U.S. economy, BMI advisors offered their own predictions.
The Issues:
Health Care
Taxes
